Cedar Rapids, Iowa (Scribble Duck) - Today Senator Hillary Clinton advised that previous reports of Sandy Berger’s “official” capacity have been overblown. Berger was fined $50,000, placed on probation and stripped of his security clearance for three years after admitting he took classified documents from the National Archives in 2003 as he prepared to meet with the 9/11 Commission. “He has no official role in my campaign. He’s been a friend for more than 30 years. But he doesn’t have any official role”.
Clinton went further to say that any role he has is “unofficial”. “If Sandy participates in a bit of unofficial conduct to burglarize things for the campaign, I really have no control over that. I really think it’s time to move on, and not think about the past mistakes people have made, but to look to the future. I know Sandy can’t wait to help me,” said Clinton.
